Huge free live music event New Found Sound hits Port Adelaide on Feb 17th

More than two dozen South Australian acts will play at multiple venues across Port Adelaide on the evening of Saturday, 17th of February. With free entry at nine venues, New Found Sound promises to be an exciting night of adventure and discovery.

Some of the acts playing on the night include DJ Troy Been, Alana Jagt, Naomi Keyte, Night Rites x Thunder Speaks, Sons of Zöku, Timberwolf and much more. Check out the full lineup here. 

Venues taking part include Archie Badenoch, The Banksia Tree, Confession, Fergie Mac’s Lounge, Iparrityi Laneway, Milledge’s Distillation, Pirate Life Brewery, and the Port Admiral Hotel. Additionally, the iconic Port Adelaide Lighthouse will host an epic soundscape experience developed by South Australian contemporary electronic artist Loud Clouds.

The evening’s programming will kick off from 6.00pm and will run across all 9 venues until 11.00pm, however event attendees are encouraged to head down to the Port earlier in the afternoon to experience the best that the historic town of Port Adelaide has to offer.

The inaugural free music event is presented by City of Port Adelaide Enfield in partnership with Live Music Office and APRA AMCOS, as part of the Live & Local program initiative born from the council’s Creative Port Plan. Live & Local aims to increase live music activity in Port Adelaide by supporting local musicians, businesses and organisations.

City of Port Adelaide Enfield’s Lord Mayor, Claire Boan has this to say about the event:
