Nova and the Experience wins grand prize at the ANZ Blue Stage Series

Nova and the Experience has been awarded the grand prize at the ANZ Blue Stage Series, a six-heat competition for up-and-coming Australian artists ran as part of the recent Spectrum Now festival. For the group, who got started in early 2015 busking, playing at university parties and touring up the East Coast, the career mentorship session with an industry expert and $15,000 grand prize will go a long way. “This means we can release a whole bunch more music this year! Stay tuned”, the band posted on Facebook.

This is the second year the SMH Spectrum Now Festival has been held in Sydney and the “talent throughout this series really has been impressive”, said judge Jennie Sager, the Global Chair of Music, Manager of Music and Entertainment for @TwitterAU. This year, the series featured runner-up Adam Harpaz, finalists Dog the Duke, Adam Harpaz, The Khanz, Mabel, and Luke Dolahenty, and performances by Borneo, Lissa Diener, James Englund, Rachael Fahim, Ainsley Farrell, Ella Freestone, Martin Hulbert, I Am Apollo, Christie Lamb, Jaime Lindsay, Jarryn Pheagan, Aime Pitcher, Planet and Say My Name
