Our 7 Highlights and Discoveries at Fun Fun Fun Fest 2015 in Austin, Texas!

This past weekend, our US photographer Waytao Shing headed along to cover the annual Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas. Along the way he saw dozens upon dozens of incredible artists – and today he’s delivering to the AU his 7 festival highlights and discoveries across the three day festival. In no particular order they are:

Golden Dawn Arkestra

Definitely my favourite discovery on the festival… they played quite early but brought along an incredible vibe – not to mention they looked super groovy! A band that has to be seen live…

Bayonne

Bayonne

Funky, melodic and a surprisingly engaging performance that had everyone dancing.

Benjamin Booker

A stand out set from one of music’s fastest rising stars.

Antemasque

A little jazzy… a whole lot of rock… and some great jams. Antemasque deliver one fantastic live show. But what more can you expect from the likes of The Mars Volta’s Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Cedric Bixler Zavala and Blink-182’s Travis Barker?

Peaches

Weird as fuck. Super hilarious. Everything you wanted and more!

Fantastic psych rock – a great discovery for me at the festival.

Chromeo

Chromeo would have to be the best set of the festival for me. With a legit light show, their energy was unmatched. So, so, so much jamming.

Special mentioned too to be paid to Anamanaguchi, The Charlatans and Neon Indian. All very enjoyable sets…
