Papa vs Pretty, Stonefield, Split Seconds and In League have been added to the already huge line-up secured for HyperFest at the iconic Midland Railway Workshops on August 28.
Papa vs Pretty are rounding out the top section of the bill after exploding on to the Australian alternative scene after their debut full-length United in Isolation got people talking Australiawide.
Stonefield, triple j’s Unearthed High band for 2010, are set to rock the workshops after their recent performance at Glastonbury Festival (UK) and new track ‘Black Water Rising’ is storming the charts.
These bands will join Architecture in Helsinki, Children Collide, Illy and some of Perth’s best local acts to entertain more than 4,000 people at the all-ages Festival next month.
City of Swan Mayor, Charlie Zannino, said Hyper was an excellent avenue to promote young people’s talents and abilities.
“Hyper is a program run by the City which helps the young people who make up the Hyper team to develop their skills in many fields,” he said.
“With a variety of programs focussed on the arts, including visual art, urban art, music and dance, we can ensure everyone’s needs and interests are catered for.”
HyperFest is an All-Ages (12+) Drug, Smoke and Alcohol free event that would not be possible without the support of so many, including the City Of Swan, Healthway, Drug Aware, the Midland Redevelopment Authority, Lotterywest, triple j, The Drum Media and Xpress Magazine.
