Aaaand the countdown to the 2017 ARIA Awards is officially on, with not only the full list of nominees announced in Sydney today, but also the winners of the Fine Arts, Artisan and Comedy categories revealed too.
Statistically speaking, 2017 is Paul Kelly and Gang of Youths‘ year, with both artists striking out against the pack with Kelly receiving seven nominations for his new album Life is Fine, and Sydney’s Gang of Youths dominating with eight nods for their sophomore release Go Farther in Lightness.
The ARIAs, to be held at Sydney’s Star Event Centre on November 28th this year (broadcast at their new home on the Nine Network), have also seen the likes of Tkay Maidza, Client Liaison, A.B. Original and Amy Shark emerge as recognised nominees, while ARIA favourites Illy, Jessica Mauboy and Sia have also lodged spots in today’s list as well.
