Perth Summer: Three must-see gigs this February and March

February and March are serving up a killer lineup of live music in Perth, with a bit of something for everyone. The Perth Festival is almost upon us, and is packed with highlights, and here are three more tours that are touching down in WA in the next couple of months!

Peach Pit

Vancouver favourites Peach Pit (pictured above) are heading back to Australia with “The Magpie Tour” this February and March. Following the release of their new album Magpie in October, the band delves into the titular bird’s duality of light and dark, reflecting frontman Neil Smith’s personal reckoning—including his journey to sobriety. The Canadian band’s first-ever performance in Australia was only in 2023 and their return will bring their bittersweet lyrics, trademark indie arrangements, and laid-back charm to the stage.

When:  Fri 28 Februrary, Freo.Social, WA – tickets can be found HERE

Peach Pit are also playing Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney – details HERE

Young Franco

Surprising as it may sound, electronic main-stay Young Franco is dropping his first album, it’s Franky baby!, on January 24. Known for his genre-blurring, dancefloor-ready hits, the Brisbane-born DJ has packed this album with heavyweight collaborations, featuring Denzel Curry, EARTHGANG, Kah-Lo, and Franc Moody. Describing it as “a love letter to the artists and friends who inspire me,” Young Franco is celebrating with a headline day-party tour across February and March alongside a new single, “Going On,” a nod to UK garage with Young Franco’s playful twist.

When: Sat 1 March, Port Beach Brewery, WA – Tickets can be found HERE

Young Franco is also playing in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide – details HERE

Osees

New-age punk legends Osees are heading our way in March, adding to an already massive year of touring. With a coveted spot at Victoria’s Golden Plains Festival, they’ll also bring their explosive live show to Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, and Melbourne. Their 28th album (Yes, really!), Sorcs 80 released at the end of 2024 is an experimental shift, with the trading guitars for synths while keeping the grit and chaos they are known for.

Osees live shows are a full-body experience, with two drummers, relentless pace and unpredictable energy – this tour is your chance to see one of the world’s best live bands. Don’t miss it.

Date: Mon 3 March, Freo.Social, WA – tickets can be found HERE
