Omar Apoll0 returned to our shores this week, for the first time since 2020. The GRAMMY-nominated, Billboard 100-climbing singer-songwriter is fresh off the back of his latest album God Said No, with Australian audiences being treated to the very first live shows since its release. The project is marked with emotional vulnerability wrapped in often playful imagery. Apollo’s bashful humour is evident on stage just as much as in his lyrics, as he entertained and winked at an eager crowd at Melbourne’s Festival Hall in between evocative tracks. Highlights of the set included “Dispose of Me” and several live debuts including “Drifting” and “Against Me”.
