After the shock announcement that Prince will be touring Australia and New Zealand at the end of this month with his concept live show, Piano & A Microphone, the Purple One has decided to up and spread the Aussie love outside of just Sydney and Melbourne. The legendary musician will now be heading the Perth for a very special ‘in the round’ performance at Perth Arena.
Happening on February 25th, the one-man-show will be Prince’s WA debut, bringing in a rare chance to see the aritst perform classic hits, b-sides and rarities, and new material from his 39th studio album HITnRun Phase II.
The addition of this Perth show makes a total of 9 Australian shows for Prince, starting in Melbourne on February 16th and 17th before heading to Sydney for two shows at Sydney Opera House and two at State Theatre. He’ll the be heading to Auckland on February 24th before coming back down to Perth.
Remaining in line with the whole last minute rush of it all, tickets to this special show will go on sale this weekend, Saturday February 13th at 12pm (WST) from www.ticketek.com.au (or 132 849).
Tickets are from $102.65 with VIP packages also available. Ticketek has placed strict anti-scalping measures for this event, so tickets are limited to 4 per person with personalised digital tickets. The ticket buyer’s name will be printed on their tickets and cross-checked against photo identification prior to entry into the venue. The ezyTickets will not be emailed to the ticket buyer until the day of the show.
