Last year, the Tempelhof Airport hosted the first ever European leg of the Lollapalooza festival. We were in Berlin for the inaugural event, which saw the likes of Muse, Tame Impala and more headline in front of near on 90,000 each night. In 2016, Lollapalooza Berlin may be moving venues, but in terms of bringing a solid line up to the German city once more, the festival has remained steadfast.
Upping its game in its sophomore year, Radiohead, Kings of Leon and Major Lazer are among the first names unveiled for Lollapalooza Berlin, which now will be taking place over two days and nights at Treptower Park, just south of Central Berlin. The festival swaps the defunct airport space for a park setting alongside the River Spree, a popular spot for Berliners and home of the now abandoned Spreepark.
Check out the line up announcement video below, which also features Years and Years, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The 1975, Kalkbrenner and more! Lollapalooza Berlin runs on September 10th and 11th this year – head to www.lollapalooza.de for more information!
