Young Henrys and Volcom hosting free party in Manly this weekend; Dune Rats, Haiku Hands and more set to DJ

For those who love music, beer and skating, this two day free event at Manly Beach this weekend – tonight and tomorrow, November 1st and 2nd – may be just the thing for you.

Young Henrys and Volcom are hosting the event at Hotel Steyne, with DJ sets from Dune Rats, The Buoys, Haiku Hands and more.

Dance pop trio Haiku Hands are headlining tonight. Also joining will be Fangz, who just toured with The Bennies and Cancer Bats, and opening the show is four-piece femme-punks soul band DOWNGIRL. All will be serving up DJ sets.

Dune Rats, meanwhile, head up Saturday’s DJ lineup, with The Buoys and Crocodylus joining them.

Danny Besaraus of the Dune Rats:

“We’ve got some A-class beer drinking bangers ready to drop! We don’t get to DJ that often so expect 900 beers to be drunk during our set + Brett is gonna attempt a 1080 on the half pipe!

While Oscar McMahon of Young Henrys has this to say

“Looks like RIP IN Weekender is going to be the most epic thing happening in Sydney this November! Beer lovers, skaters, bands and tattooists are taking over the Steyne Hotel for another weekend of fun, sun, skating and good ol’ fashioned malarky. YH are stoked to be partnering with our long time friends and collaborators Volcom, curating an epic lineup in the beautiful surrounds of the hallowed Steyne beer garden.”

There’s an in-venue half pipe with guest skaters Rob Pace, Rome Collyer, Liv Lovelace and more. Expect plenty of beer specials from our favourites at Young Henrys. There’s also a pop-up tattoo parlour for those who want a permanent memory of the event.
