Riding high off the success of single “Espresso'”(which, among other things, has at least corrected people who referred to the beverage as an “Expresso”) Sabrina Carpenter has announced the release of her new LP, Short n’ Sweet, with an August 23rd street date.
The pint-sized popstar has put all her nights of working late (‘Cause she’s a singer…) to good use, with her 6th record sure to be her most pronounced yet, with interest in the talent at an all-time high thanks to her global #1 tune.
“This project is quite special to me and I hope it’ll be something special to you too,” she wrote on social media ahead of the announcement, similarly teasing that something else will be coming this week; with rumblings that the project’s second single – rumoured to be titled “Please, Please, Please” – will launch.
With “Espresso” showing no signs of slowing down, and the singer coming off of a prominent set as Taylor Swift’s opening act on her recent Eras Tour, as well as her acclaimed performance as the musical guest on Jake Gyllenhaal’s recent SNL episode, Carpenter’s own era is sure to be more sweet than short-lived.
Short n’ Sweet, which will be released under Island Records, is available for pre-order now via her official website, alongside merchandise for the project, including a cassette tape, vinyl pressing, and apparel.
