Single of the Day: Cog “The Middle” (2018)

Legendary Aussie rock trio Cog are back with their first material in 10 years with new single “The Middle”. A Cog reunion seemed unlikely after the band split following two critically acclaimed albums, yet the boys are back, planning a run of shows this year.

The new single is classic Cog, a slow build acoustic intro plays into thrashing guitar and drums to create a triumphant prog-rock opera. The vocals of frontman Flynn Gower will be a welcome sound for fans, the track certainly elicited the nostalgia chills when I gave it a spin! Check out “The Middle” below!
