Single of the Day: Colin Lillie “Give Thanks” (2016)

Colin Lillie, via new single “Give Thanks”, further explores a songwriting talent already established as a heartfelt and honest one, but engages with a bit of edge on the new tune. Known for marrying folk with some great country tones, Lillie here injects some rockier rhythms into “Give Thanks” and embraces some painfully earnest lyricism on this one that tells a story of acknowledgement, moving forward and personal growth.
