There is a bloody good reason as to why Sydney based songwriter, producer and engineer Antonia Gauci is an in-demand name by some of the world’s biggest pop artists. The way she works with sound and crafts music that is not only honest, but remains ever-evocative and forward thinking, has her cultivating one seriously fleshed out body of work and this week, we are riding for her latest project.
Leftenent is the new moniker Gauci is releasing music under, the first single we heard was 2016’s “Control”. This week, we’re loving Leftenent’s sophomore single release in “We Can Do Better” – a hazy late night dive into some gorgeous soundscapes and production. Kinda like a fusion of St. Vincent, Banks and James Blake, the sounds of “We Can Do Better” rush over you.
