We first met Youngr in a hotel lobby at The Great Escape back in 2017. Ahead of a wild final-night-of-festival show, the producer and multi-instrumentalist was approaching what wound up being a sweaty, wall-to-wall banger of a gig that had Youngr emerge as an artist to watch going into the rest of the year.
It’s no real surprise that the momentum has continued to churn for Youngr, as he this week drops details of his new release This is Not An Album. As the title suggests, this collection of material represents Youngr’s releases til now – a bit of an introduction to the artist, easy to access and ready to digest. Featured on This is Not An Album, is “Ooh Lordy” – a hit of house/pop music that makes a beeline right for the nerve in your brain that instructs you to throw inhibitions away when on a night out.
