Spacey Jane have excitedly announced a huge tour across Australia and New Zealand this year. Celebrating the release of their third studio album, If That Makes Sense (out on the 9th of May), the band are playing a massive 20 shows over May and June. They are bringing along some incredible Aussie artists for the ride as their openers (all shows excluding Fremantle): Phoebe Go and The Moving Stills.
The new album was produced by Mike Crossey, who previously worked with The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, and Wolf Alice. They collaborated with songwriters Jackson “Day Wave” Phillips and Sarah Aarons, who have worked with Miley Cyrus, Childish Gambino, and Lykke Li. The Fremantle-based band are set to explore their indie rock roots a little deeper sonically, experimenting with the classic dream-like sound fans know and love, and using their own personal anecdotes to speak on themes of heartbreak and trauma, bringing the album to life.
Given that the band has grown substantially in popularity since their debut in 2017, with about 1.6M monthly listeners on Spotify, and over 100s of billions of streams globally, it’s very clear that there are no signs of Spacey Jane slowing down any time soon.
The tour kicks off in New Zealand on the 27th of May and ends in their hometown of Perth on the 29th of June. Tickets will sell quickly, so don’t delay!
