Following on from a successful 2016 event, the Barossa Valley’s Turkey Flat Vineyards will be hosting the Silver Raven Festival for another year next April. The Americana heavy line up will be headlined by Philly’s Strand of Oaks, while Nashville’s Jonny Fritz and San Francisco’s Sonny & The Sunsets bring some of that heated American flavour through to South Australia.
This isn’t to say that Aussie talent is being neglected though, oh no. Henry Wagons * The Only Children, Jen Cloher (with full band including Courtney Barnett, Bones Sloane and Jen Sholakis), Ruby Boots, The San Sebastian and Wanderers (formerly Wasted Wanderers) are also lined up for Silver Raven 2017 to entertain right throughout the day and night.
Tickets for the festival are only $89 via www.oztix.com.au; teens 13-17 years old can head along for $39, with free entry for kids 12 years and under. For its run in 2017, Silver Raven takes place as part of the Barossa Vintage Festival (for more info, head here) and again, will be showcasing some final local food producers as well as Turkey Flat wines, naturally, and Pirate Life beer.
