What music or artists inspired you?
I listen to a lot of music by a Canadian musician by the name of Jesse Marchant, the Blonde On Blonde album by Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley and a bit of Bon Iver.

How did you get started?
I started playing guitar pretty young and slowly as I grew older I began to play small gigs with friends and eventually went out on my own. The band formed gradually over the past year. This helped with some of our bigger live shows.

How would you best describe your live show:
I aim to provide a pretty intimate and honest show as possible.

Sunday 14th Dec; The Little Guy, Sydney
Tuesday 16th Dec; The Falcon, Sydney

Tell us about your latest release:
‘Sugarcane Road’ is a collection of songs I had been working on for the past four years. When I was writing the songs I never had a whole lot of direction or idea in what I was going to do with them. I was simply writing for pleasure.

It wasn’t until I started working with producer – Jordan Power (Angus Stone, The Temper Trap, Xavier Rudd) the songs started to breathe again and I could hear all these new exciting sounds.

We tracked the album over six months in bedrooms, beach shacks, car parks and studios with help from Grant Gerathy on drums and Oj Newcomb on bass.

The album was released independently on the 29th of September and so far the response has been overwhelming.

Where can I get your music?
iTunes, Spotify, most of the usual places.
