What music or artists inspired you?
Neil Young/Jackson Browne/Larry Norman/U2/Bruce Cockburn/The Beatles
How did you get started?
I first heard the Beatles when I was a child and was smitten. I used to mimic them in front of the mirror with an old tennis racket. My brother, also a guitarist, brought home Neil Young’s ‘Harvest’ and within a few weeks had taught myself to play all of the songs on the album. There was no turning back. My first purchase as a teenager was Jackson Browne’s Running On Empty with its tales of the road and heartache. That was the album that made me want to write songs. U2’s Under A Blood Red Sky, made me want to sing them…loud.
How would you best describe your live show:
Moving, passionate, uplifting, edifying, joyous, amusing
Tell us about your latest release:
My latest release is a Christmas song called A Long Way From Home (This Christmas). I wrote it about my last year which was a tough one for many reasons one being the tragic bush fires which swept thru my community here in the Blue Mountains. It caused me to reflect on the coming Christmas, send out a message to my ex pat friends and family around the globe who wont get back for Christmas and to remind myself that time with friends and family particularly at Christmas should never be taken for granted. It’s only available as a download single release at this stage.
Where can I get your music?
Best place is iTunes or digital download providers.
