the AU interview at SXSW: Animal Years (Brooklyn) talk recording a new record and sleeping in tents

the AU review sat down with two members of roots Americana band Animal Years, who were at SXSW to play eight showcases over the course of the festival – and doing so with some peculiar accommodation arrangements. “We’ve been here since Wednesday and we’re actually camping in tents the whole.”

Animal Years are in the process of recording a follow up to their 2014 debut Sun Will Rise, fitting in the finishing touches around a a handful of shows an tours spanning California to New York in the coming months. On their plans for the new album, the bands says “we’ve got 15 songs so we’re not sure how many are going to end up on the record, but they’re all finished.”

Keep your eyes peeled for the next album from Animal Years and in the meantime you can find Sun Will Rise on iTunes. Follow the band on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/AnimalYears
