San Francisco synth-pop group The Frail stopped by The AU pop-up venue at SXSW to have a chat about their 2014 record LoveDeathLegend and what comes next for them. Speaking about their musical direction from this point onwards the band says that “now we’re trying to lighten up a bit, take things in a more dancier, happy, summertime direction.”
Vocalist Daniel Lannon says of the next record “One of the key things that I’m shooting for in terms of the music that we’re making, and I did a bit of that on the last record, is to provide that space in the album, to where a) you might here something you’ve never heard before the second time you listen or b) it has this kind of atmospheric kind of thing.”
