the AU interview: highasakite (Norway) Talk Touring Internationally, What It’s Like Spending So Much Time Together and Future Album Plans

Norwegian Indie pop group highasakite first captured Australia’s attention with a unique blend of synthesisers, soaring melodies and ethereal vocals. Now flash forward and their popularity is only growing with every new release, interview and performance. Larry Heath recently sat down with Ingrid Helene Havik and Kristoffer Lo when they were here touring for the 2015 St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival and asked about their experiences touring abroad, supporting London Grammar and what they did for Australia Day.

In part two, highasakite discuss the high popularity of their last album and how they feel about moving on to the next. “I feel not good about that, I feel really like how are we going to do this and also because making this record was difficult,” vocalist Ingrid Helene Havik told us, “it could be a good thing but it could also be a more vulnerable thing while working together.”

“We’re just eager to start that process,” added Kristoffer Lo. “We’ve been doing so many interviews where we get those questions like ‘how do you feel about recording a new album? How would it be?’ And we’re like, we’re nervous of course. How could we not be?”

The rest of the interview details what it’s like for the band to rehearse, writing and recording processes and who they were most excited to see at Laneway Festival. Check it out below!
