If there’s one venue to look at each year at SXSW to find the “next big things”, The British Music Embassy is certainly one of those places. Acts like Bombay Bicycle Club, Royal Blood, Rag n’ Bone Man and many, many more have all played the stage over the last decade, at the venue’s long time home of Latitude 30.
Sadly that venue has shut down, bringing to an end a 12 year era of that iconic venue serving as the home for British music at the iconic Austin Festival. This year they move to the much larger venue, the Cedar Street Courtyard, with 10 days of activity planned.
The British Music Embassy (BME) is the official UK residency at SXSW and hosts several events and showcases throughout the convention which runs from March 13-22.
There will be 13 SXSW showcases featuring more than 60 performances in partnership with AIM, BBC Music, the BPI, the Department for International Trade (DIT), Belfast City Council, PPL, PRS for Music and PRS Foundation. Here’s the lists of every showcase at the venue:
