Updated: The Laneway Festival 2023 sideshows you can still get tickets for

Yard Act

The new year’s festivals have come and gone, and the next mighty explosion of music is the 2023 Laneway Festival. We’ve done the hard work for you, and assembled a list of all the sideshows. Many have sold out, but there are still a handful of shows with a few tickets left.

Amongst the artists who still have tickets available (at time of publishing) for their sideshows are 100 gecs (Melbourne only), Yard Act, Knucks and Ross From Friends.

For completeness, we have listed all sideshows, with tickets for puchasing, even if sold out. You never know, you might get lucky with a late release of tickets.

Updated 20/1 – two new shows have been added for TURNSTILE – Sydney 17/2 and Brisbane 19/2 – links below

100 gecs

100 gecs blew up via TikTok, and their signature fusion of chiptune, ska, and emo EDM has them finding their own distinct sonic lane.  They are playing shows at San Fran in Wellington (31st Jan), Metro Theatre in Sydney (3rd Feb) and Northcote Theatre in Melbourne (9th Feb).

Yard Act

We’ve been fans of Leeds rockers Yard Act since their early days. Their 2022 debut album The Overload was our album of the week. Our head reviewer, Dylan Marshall said of it “Incredibly well weighted, The Overload has hits strewn through it”.

You’ll be able to see them at Night Cat in Melbourne (31st Jan), and Oxford Art Factory in Sydney (2nd Feb).

Knucks

Knucks is leading the way with his take on new school hip-hop. He melds together sax-infused melodies, jazzy piano samples and synth textures.

You can catch Knucks at the Metro Theatre in Sydney (2nd Feb) and the Croxton Bandroom in Melbourne (3rd Feb).

Ross From Friends

Ross From Friends is another artist blending genres, with his mashup of jazz, techno and ambient music as well as house and disco. This is going to be a dancefloor jam.

They are playing at 170 Russell in Melbourne (7th Feb) and the Metro Theatre in Sydney (8th Feb).
