This year’s Music Cities Convention Melbourne is kicking off tomorrow and what better way to show visitors to the city why Melbourne is the live music capital of the world, than with a stomper line up of music being shown off at the Melbourne Museum?
A special one off edition of Nocturnal will see Ecca Vandal and Birdz perform live, while DJ Joey Lightbulb (aka The Herald Sun’s Mikey Cahill) will be ensuring the vibes never dip low.
Lynley Marshall of Museums Victoria has said of the event, “We are thrilled to showcase Nocturnal as part of the Music Cities Convention. Much like the convention itself, Nocturnal celebrates Melbourne pride for music culture and represents the intersection of live music, innovation and discovery. We love that Nocturnal and Melbourne Museum have been recognised and embraced as an outstanding event and venue for live music.”
Ticket holders can also check out the Vikings: Beyond the Legend exhibition at the Museum, with the site being open late just for this occasion. Over 450 original artefacts have come to Melbourne from the Swedish History Museum, giving an insight into such a individual history.
Kicking off at 7pm, Nocturnal at the Music Cities Convention runs until 11pm. Grab your tickets here.
