Local Melbourne four-piece The Mercy Kills have perfected the art of sleazy, dirty rock and roll. The “Wasting/Save” single is one hell of a sweaty, gritty, ball breaking ride that encompasses the right blend of old school nostalgia with a fierce ‘fuck off’ 21st century attitude.
The intense energy of “Wasting/Save” with it’s spiralling riffs, thunderous drumming and powerful vocal howls is delightfully reckless and decadent to the extreme.
“Wasting/Save” has a similar feel with the gigantic wall of grinding noise that breaks out in the chorus over vocalist Mark E’s impassioned cries that will drag you down to the depths of despair and pull you back out again kicking, screaming and begging for more.
