The Weeknd is coming to Australia in October

After his Until Dawn tour was cancelled last year, The Weeknd has finally set a set of new dates for his Australian tour.

And it’s looking like you’re in for a bit of travel if you don’t live in Sydney or Melbourne.

Australia’s two major cities will get two shows each, with The Weeknd leaving a big gap between his first two stops in Melbourne, and his last two shows in Sydney.

Whether or not this means more shows will be announced remains to be seen, but given the high demand we wouldn’t be surprised to see ticket sales pressuring promoters to add new dates.

One of music’s most bankable stars will be performing his first-ever stadium gigs in Australia, following his Down Under debut all the way back in 2017.

“I feel a strong pull to perform in Australia before moving on to the next chapter and want to make sure you all know I hadn’t forgotten about you,” said The Weeknd in a statement.

“When I return now, it will be the right time, and I promise it will be such a special experience. I can’t wait to see you all.”

Tickets for the below dates are on sale from Wednesday 21st August, only open to those who previously purchased tickets to his last lot of dates. Another presale will follow on Thursday 22nd August, and general sale is the following Monday 26th August.
