This Saturday, 3 October, the AU review is presenting a livestream of Tia Gostelow, from 10AM AEST in collaboration with The New Colossus Festival as part of their ongoing program of live performances.
Gostelow was initially booked to perform at The New Colossus Festival in New York City in March but was unable to do so amid growing COVID-19 concerns. This forthcoming livestream is her first chance to play for the NYC festival’s audience.
Gostelow will be welcomed onto this week’s program for an interview with host Brad Wagner followed by a live session.
The 20-year-old singer-songwriter will be releasing her second album Chrysalis on 30 October. The upcoming album features the production handiwork of Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy).
Gostelow’s 2018 debut album Thick Skin was received warmly all over the globe and won Album of the Year at the Queensland Music Awards, making her the youngest ever recipient of the prize.
The New Colossus Festival has been running their weekly program The New Colossus Sessions during the pandemic to showcase new music during this time of self-isolation. Tia Gostelow will be the second Australian to be featured, following from Melbourne-based artist Ali Barter.
The live-streamed performance can be viewed on 3 October, 10AM AEST, via The New Colossus Festival’s Facebook or YouTube accounts.
