Tina Arena breathes new life into her legendary hit Chains with Australian dance duo SHOUSE

Released originally in 1994, “Chains” cemented Tina Arena’s status as a powerhouse in the global music landscape with its hauntingly crafted lyrics and emotionally charged vocals that only she can deliver. A silver record in the UK, where it placed in the Top 10, certified double platinum in Australia, and a Top 40 success on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, now, thirty years later, Tina and SHOUSE, the electrifying Australian dance duo, are set to enchant a new generation with the revitalized version to resonate with both long-time fans and newcomers to create a dynamic synergy that elevates the track to new heights.

“Working with the legendary Tina Arena on this project has been a dream come true. Her original version of ‘Chains’ is a masterpiece, and our goal was to honour that while adding our unique touch. We can’t wait for everyone to hear the result – it’s something truly special,” SHOUSE remarked when learning of their chance to work the singer on remaking one of her biggest songs.

Expressing her excitement about the collaboration Tina shares, “Revisiting ‘Chains’ with SHOUSE has been an incredible journey. Their fresh approach has given the song a new dimension while staying true to the essence that made it special in the first place. I’m thrilled for fans old and new to experience this new chapter of ‘Chains.'”

To further celebrate release of “Chains” and the subsequent 30th anniversary of Don’t Ask, the album which launched the original single and became one of Australia’s biggest selling records, Tina has just announced an upcoming live tour, where she will be joined Richard Marx, Daryl Braithwaite, Kate Ceberano, Southern Sons, and 1927, across dates in November and December. Information and Tickets available HERE.
