WITZEND VENICE BEACH (FIRST SHOW)
Witzend was my first stop and first show ever in the United States. It was also my first experience of doing a show straight after a 14 hour flight!
HOTEL CAFE
One of my Los Angeles Highlights was having the absolute honour of playing one of LA’s finest rooms “The Hotel Cafe”. The venue has been home to some of my favourite artists and is an incredibly special stage to play. Playing Hotel Cafe was my second show in Los Angeles and up there with the most special.
BALCONY TV
Tom performed “Someday Soon” for Balcony TV LA on 30th Sept. It was an absolutely sweltering day with temperatures hitting over ‘100 degrees’, which the Aussies present found quite amusing. Stunning performance against a beautiful LA backdrop featuring the famous (infamous?) Hollywood sign. Very memorable moment indeed. – Jess Beston, Manager
CULTURE COLLIDE
Culture Collide was an incredible experience! Playing alongside such wonderful bands and being part of such an eclectic and genuine festival was amazing. I know it seems odd to describe a festival as being “Genuine” but there’s no other way to communicate the sense of support for the artists involved and the Love of the music from everyone that came out to watch. I truly wonderful experience and amazing festival to be a part of.
Another incredible show with more people than either of us had any right to hope would be there!! Thomas mixed up the set a little for this special show, a particular highlight being “When Will”, track 1 from his debut Australian album, which he has never played before. What an incredible experience! Two Artists that have both meant a lot to me over the years in one of my favourite venues. Two absolutely stunning and amazing songwriters. An incredibly special and inspiring evening.
THE JEZABELS AT TROUBADOR
It was my first time seeing fellow Australians The Jezabels and they definitely did not dissapoint! Their show is super energetic and beautiful. I can’t wait to catch them again!
DISNEYLAND
No Trip to Los Angeles is ever truly complete without a visit to Disneyland. I’ve been once before when I was 15 and it holds a special place for me because the ride “The Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror” is not only my favourite ride, but it’ also what I have to thank for my introduction to the show “The Twilight Zone” itself. I had grown up around great movies and television but I was always looking for something exactly like The Twilight Zone, and when my good friend and I stepped onto that ride seven years ago, I knew I’d found something that would be special to me. I instantly became infatuated and haven’t looked back since!
