In prepping her forthcoming album The Best of Luck Club, Melbourne’s Alex Lahey has come through with a hugely anticipated follow up to the project’s first single, “Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself”.
On the new one, “Am I Doing It Right?”, Lahey continues to up her blunt storytelling as she addresses the judgement that comes with being thrust into musician’s lifestyle.
“It’s like fighting a losing battle while loving every minute of it”, said Lahey in a statement. “Being a musician is considered a weird job without any explanation necessary, but one of the strangest parts about being a musician is that there is absolutely no set pathway you’re supposed to follow to get where you want to go”.
Alex will embark on some huge European and North American tour dates throughout the year, but she’ll definitely be giving us a live taste of the new album when she comes back to Australia for a national adventure. See full dates below.
