Track of the Day: Beating Hearts Club “Heroin” (2019)

Sydney-based indie rockers Beating Hearts Club have a released a beautiful love song, “Heroin” and it’s a worthy Track Of the Day. Starting sparsely and gently, it builds to a triumphant declaration of love.

“The track is really a love song. Its about meeting someone and being grateful that they are in your life. I wrote this track after coming out of a very toxic relationship. Its about realising that there IS someone out there for you!”  – Duncan Welsh – Beating Hearts Club

The band is a 4-piece, and was formed in 2015, from the ashes of their previous band The Iron Horses. Their style is a potent mix of their loves of Indie, Folk, Country and Blues.

In late 2017 the Sydney four piece began work on their debut album. The following six months were spent away from the stage, bunkered down at Church Street Studios, once again enlisting in the services of Ollie Brown and Sean Care, who has worked with Cat StevensDaniel Johns, and Skylar Grey).

We look forward to future releases from this talented group.
