One of our favourite artists over the last five years or so has been Detroit’s Flint Eastwood, who has finally started breaking into the big time, with her EP This Is A Coping Mechanism for A Broken Heart, making waves alongside the single “Chapter 4 Sober”. Her latest single, “Hurt”, taken from the same EP, is a powerful break-up duet featuring Flint Eastwood alongside fellow Detroit based LGBTQ+ indie pop artist Siena Liggins. Flint, aka Jax Anderson, also directed the music video, which dropped recently.
Here’s what she had to say about the track: “Hurt’ was written to be a conversation between me & my ex. I wanted to explain what it’s like to fight with someone you care about & take it while being in the wrong. I wanted the video to highlight both party’s reactions, instead of manipulating the story to focus on one side or the other”.
