Alice Springs based producer and multi-instrumentalist Resin Moon has emerged from his studio following a year-long stint, with a new single, “Nothing To See”, a tease of his forthcoming debut full length album Oscillations, which is earmarked for release in early 2019.
“Nothing To See” is the first release from Resin Moon, since 2017 single “Subtle Surrender”, and 2016’s Salt EP, the latter of which has amassed over a million streams across Apple Music and Spotify.
The song, which is about escaping reality with the love of your life, gives off some strong R&B credentials, with some beautiful layered instrumentation, topped off with Resin Moon’s striking falsetto. It’s smooth, bright and offers an almost cinematic quality. Certainly, it’s not hard to picture neon glows and late night car drives when listening to this one. Discussing the making of the track, Resin Moon, real name Dave Crowe, had this to say:
“I started off with that white R&B, synth-pop thing going on, which felt really different to the sounds I’d been working on in the past. I embraced that and the track evolved into this smooth, late-night cruising sound that I’ve fallen in love with.”
A year in the making, “Nothing To See” was well worth the wait, as it would seem, if this track is anything to go by, is new album Oscillations when it gets a release early next year.
