Tyler, The Creator has announced his return to Australia and New Zealand for the 2025 CHROMAKOPIA World Tour, marking a significant moment in his rocky history with touring our shores. After being banned from entering Australia in 2015 due to controversial lyrics, Tyler made his return in 2019 and then 2022, to open arms and sold-out shows. The tour will run through August and September 2025, supporting his upcoming album CHROMAKOPIA, due for release on Monday, 28 October.
“Noid” is the first official single from the highly anticipated eighth studio album, and came paired with an unsettling music video that dropped just an hour before the track hit streaming platforms. With visual direction by his long-time collaborator Luis “Panch” Perez, the song delves deep into Tyler’s exploration of paranoia. The themes are a nod to his past work, weaving in references that span his entire discography. The familiar tension from previous albums can be recognised in lines like “Who’s at my window?”, a direct callback to his debut album Goblin and the track “She”.
Visually, CHROMAKOPIA seems to carry on Tyler’s tradition of creating distinct characters and worlds for each of his releases. From the colourfully suited army of Tylers from the era of IGOR to Flower Boy’s lush, hyper-nature aesthetics, each LP exists within a world of its own. The eerie, mask-wearing figure seen in the CHROMAKOPIA visuals suggests we might be in for something surreally Hitchcockian.
Tyler’s Australian shows will see him joined by huge acts Lil Yachty and Paris Texas, both of whom will no doubt match the energy brought on tour.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, 1 November at 10 AM local time, with Frontier Members having access to a pre-sale starting on Wednesday, 30 October. For more info and to grab tickets, head here.
