WA’s Small Town Heroes debut new name, announce new music with Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus & Twenty One Pilots’ Josh Dun

It has been a huge year for the band formerly known as Small Town Heroes – the WA band has been in studio with Pete WentzTravis Barker and more recently but as they approach the end of 2017, they’re already well into the next phase of their career.

Rebranding themselves as The Faim, the rockers out of Perth have recently emerged from producer John Feldmann‘s LA studio from writing alongside Blink 182‘s Mark Hoppus and Josh Dun from Twenty One Pilots.

Add in another session with 5 Seconds of Summer‘s Aston Irwin, and it’s looking to be a pretty wild season of new music ahead for the group.

“It was inspiring to work with such iconic musicians who we have looked up to for so long,” the band has said of their recent collaboration with Hoppus and Dun. “Both guys were super warm and we ended up writing a really powerful song that we can’t wait for everyone to hear.”

Of their new name, The Faim explain the change.

“The word FAIM means Hunger and we felt it truly represents our ever growing and undying passion for music. We all feel like we were born for this and we know within ourselves it was the right thing to do.”
