Earlier in the week, we announced our annual list of acknowledgements of live music and the artists who have really made 2017 their own, via the annual AU Awards. Whether it was a breakout year for some, or a year where an acclaimed album became a defining moment in a band’s career, 2017 has provided some epic moments – moments we’ve pooled together in deciding our list for the fourth year running.
Winners have been unveiled today, with the likes of Meg Mac, Gang of Youths, Bec Sandridge and West Thebarton coming out with AU Awards to their name. Sugar Mountain and The Hills Are Live were also acknowledged for their continued successes both in the metro and regional scenes, while the genre awards saw Caiti Baker, Kim Churchill, Lincoln Le Fevre & The Insiders and more come out on top.
