It’s been ten years since the legendary Ghostface Killah jumped on Twitter one day and started letting loose a stream of personal hygiene tips for his followers, one of the first public statements that Wu-Tang Clan is deadly serious when it comes to not just protecting your neck, but your wellbeing.
Now, the hip hop luminaries have started producing their own hand sanitiser, labelled “Protect Ya Hands,” in light of the current pandemic, and the absolute shit-show it’s causing in the USA. RZA’s lifestyle brand 36 Chambers is behind it, teaming up with skincare company Jusu for an all-natural, plant-based, vegan hand sanitiser.
Jusu, a company committed to creating pure products that protect health, wellbeing and the environment, has been tapped to produce this hand sanitiser as part of the “A Better Tomorrow Collection”, which is a line of three products that collectively will benefit the Ottawa Food Bank, The Ottawa Mission Foundation and Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
The hand sanitiser is being sold by 250ml bottle and comes with a bamboo top. They will start shipping from 27th May and for every one sold another hand sanitiser will be donated to the Ottawa Mission Foundation along with other homeless shelters in Canada. Additional profits will also be donated to the shelters.
A mission statement by RZA’s lifestyle brand indicates that 36 Chambers was created in the hopes to “always see a better tomorrow.
The other items in the A Better Tomorrow Collection include a T-shirt with the Wu-Tang’s iconic logo and a reused food bowl.
