YELLOWFEVER
Infecting Australia
YELLOWFEVER, the captivating minimalist art-pop duo are poised and ready to pounce as they prepare for their inaugural visit to Australia throughout April and May.
Following on from a string of US dates the pair will be invading Australia like an infectious disease.
Hailing from Austin Texas, the band has released a string of EPs
and singles, which in 2009 were compiled onto their self-titled album. Their first official album is in the works and will be on a record store shelf near you later in 2011.
Applying drums, guitar, organ and synth bass to their jerky rhythms and willowy
arrangements YellowFever is Jennifer Moore and Adam Jones, a highly talented kooky pair who manage to perfectly balance the complex with the refreshingly sparse.
Jennifer’s arresting vocals add a restrained sophistication to the garage-y undertow; think Stereolab covering early Go-Betweens, or Young Marble Giants, if they had existed in Dunedin in the early eighties…
Catch the ultimate YellowFever at these venues in late autumn…
