Epson Australia has released its first portable laser projector in a sleek and attractive body. Consumers have the choice between the EF-100W and EF-100B, in white and black respectively, which come in a compact and lightweight chassis – weighing only 2.7kg and it’s longest side is only 22.7cm.
Both EF-100 models feature minimal buttons, a “leather-like” finish and rounded corners to be as stylish as possible. The white EF-100W has silver accents and the black EF-100B has copper edging.
Epson says it’s minimal size will give users more flexibility as it can be placed and project in any direction – walls, ceilings and floors. The laser light source features 3LCD technology, projects at 2,000lm in colour brightness with a dynamic contrast of 2,500,000:1 means it’s bright and vibrant and can project without having to close the curtains.
Vents, with a low fan noise of just 26db, and power source are located on the side to allow you to have it free standing on its back and project onto the ceiling. A back panel pops off to allow access to streaming devices like Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV and Roku. There is one HDMI 2.0 port for connectivity to DVD players, games consoles, laptops, phones and tablets.

The EB-100W/B also boasts a built-in 5W speaker, a headphone port and the ability to connect via Bluetooth to sound bars.
