Shown for the first time in Australia at Epson’s Productivity and Efficiency launch event, the new EH-LS500 projector which will hit shelves in early 2020 is an ultra-short-throw projector is certain to be a big-screen TV alternative.
Designed to sit neatly below the display area, the projector is able to display 4K content thanks to 4K Enhancement Technology which shifts each pixel diagonally to double Full HD resolution. When in 3D mode, resolution is Full HD. The EH-LS500 can broadcast up to 130 inches and is easily able to stream shows, movies and more by inserting and storing a device (such as an Amazon Fire TV or Roku streaming stick) in a discrete and purpose-built cavity.
The projector also has two built-in 10W speakers and a HDMI ARC connection that’ll let you integrate with an AV set up, as well as three other HDMI ports that will let you plug into DVD players, games consoles and set top boxes. Casual viewing during the day and night is possible due to a 4,000 lumens brightness and 2,500,000:1 contrast ratio that’ll produce deep blacks with vibrant colours.
The EH-LS500 will be available in Australia in 2020 with pricing to be confirmed. For more information on Epson and their range of projectors you can head HERE.
