While everyone has been busy putting the P30 Series’ remarkable zoom to the rest, Huawei have snuck in a software update to further enhance the camera experience on both the P30 and P30 Pro.
Focused on “Dual-View Camera Mode”, the update makes it so users on either device can create split-screen videos by simultaneously using the phone’s primary camera and zoom lens. This displays two perspective at once on the screen, with one being standard and the other 2x to 15x zoomed in.
This is most valuable for the P30 series’ video modes, which weren’t as applauded as their still photography capabilities upon release.
“At Huawei, we pride ourselves on our ability to constantly provide innovative features that enhance our customers’ day to day lives” said Managing Director of Huawei Consumer Australia, Mr Larking Huang. “This new camera mode can play a part in all of our lives – from travellers not wanting to miss a moment, to parents watching their kids play sport as they record what’s happening on the field while also zooming in on their child. We are excited to bring this new feature to market and we know Aussies will love it”.
The top features users can expect from the new mode including the ability to capture wide view with more of the background and surrounding objects; simultaneous zoom on split screen; the ability to shoot two different angles at the same time; ability to adjust the magnification level; and the potential for more artistic and creative shots.
The Dual-View Camera Mode will be available from tomorrow – Friday 10 May – for customers who have purchased their products through JB-Hi Fi, Amazon, Harvey Norman, Mobile Citi, bNEXT and Kogan. Australians who have purchased from Telstra, Optus and Vodafone will get to enjoy the new feature from 15 May.
