The VQ Laura Ashley 4 Slice Toaster is the high quality and affordable option for all your breakfast needs

As a person who has owned a two-slice toaster for the majority of their life, the VQ Laura Ashley 4-Slice Toaster is a game changer, especially in a household of 5 people who are constantly on the go.

Enter the VQ Laura Ashley 4-Slice Toaster, a stylish new option that’s as affordable as it is functional.

Design

The lightweight and beautifully designed toaster comes in three different designs: Elveden Midnight Navy, Elveden White, and the China Rose print. The cute prints add a sense of style to the kitchen and particularly look great accompanied with the other Laura Ashley kitchen appliances.

It also comes with something I had never even thought I needed until using the toaster – a warming rack. The loose attachment comfortably sits on top of the durable stainless steel toaster and is incredibly handy for keeping bread, croissants, crumpets, and anything you could think of toasting nice and warm until it’s ready to serve.

There are also seven browning settings, split between two slots each, controlled by a simple and effective dial. So you’re able to get two slices of bread nice and brown, at the same time as getting the other two pieces of bread just that little bit crisp.

You’re also able to easily “Cancel”, “Reheat”, and “Defrost” your bread with the touch of a button, again split between two slots each.

Performance

This has been a fantastic addition to our kitchen. Living in a household of five people, all with varying schedules, breakfast in the morning can be a mad rush. So a small change of adding a four slice toaster has made such a great difference to our morning routines.

No matter what browning setting we used on the toaster, there were no issues with wait times. It generally worked pretty fast in comparison to other toasters – give or take two to four minutes til the toast was ready. The “Reheat” function also perfectly warms the toast, so there is no need to worry about the potential of over-browning or burning.

The only issue I had with the product was that bigger pieces of bread or bagels were a little bit harder to toast due to the slots being a little bit more shallow than other toasters. So I had to be mindful of the sizes of bread, croissants, bagels, and the like, when buying them at the supermarket.

The toaster latches on the left and right side, as well as the two dials, also felt quite flimsy to touch. Otherwise, there were no issues with its functionality and ability to perform.

Verdict & Value

While there were very minor issues with the ability to toast larger items and the plastic feel of the components on the toaster, the VQ Laura Ashley 4-Slice Toaster is otherwise a fantastic appliance, adding character to the kitchen in terms of looks, as well as making the breakfast rush more efficient.

FOUR STARS (OUT OF FIVE)

Highlights: Super quick toaster with simple functionality; The ability to toast on two different settings at once.
Lowlights: The dial and the latch for the toaster can feel a little bit flimsy; Larger pieces of bread can’t really fit in the slots.
