There comes a time when the hand mixer you bought 10 years ago at a random appliance store finally runs its course. It might be old, the settings to change the speed is an annoying clicking latch, or the once white mixer has turned into a fun-off yellow. So now you have to go through the tedious process of finding a good quality hand mixer that’ll hopefully last you another 10 years.
This is the exact scenario I found myself in a few weeks ago, but I was lucky enough to trial the VQ Laura Ashley Hand Mixer just in time. And I think it’s safe to say that the VQ Laura Ashley Hand Mixer has been a lifesaver and, dare I say, the perfect substitute for my previous hand mixer by a long run.
Design
The biggest gripe with the hand mixers I’ve previously bought is the inability to neatly store the mixer and the attachments away once I’m done using it. The best part about the VQ Laura Ashley Hand Mixer is that not only does it come with the sleek hand mixer with five different speeds, stainless-steel beaters, and dough hooks, but it also comes with a convenient bag with two separate compartments to store the mixer and the attachments. A small, yet genius touch!
The mixer is also decorated with the China Rose designer print, which adds a sense of luxury and style to any kitchen.
Performance
Simple and easy to use, the VQ Laura Ashley Hand Mixer has an incredibly powerful 180-watt motor with the previously mentioned five different speeds to suit all different types of baking and mixing needs. A “Turbo” button is also on the mixer, giving a temporary boost for any desired extra power. And to make it even better, there’s an “Eject” button to easily remove the attachments for an effortless clean.
The light and ergonomic mixer is super powerful, no matter which attachment is used. It’s able to get through tough substances and textures with ease, even at the lowest speed, and the strength at its fastest speed makes baking a breeze. It’s the perfect kitchen appliance for any professional or budding baker.
My only issue with the mixer is the shape of the handle, which has a more triangular edge rather than a rounded one. This design makes it a bit uncomfortable to hold when you need to mix something tough and need a good grip on the hand mixer.
Verdict & Value
There have been no issues with the performance of the VQ Laura Ashley Hand Mixer over the course of multiple uses in making various baked goods. It’s high powered and dynamic, allowing use for a range of different recipes in the kitchen.
The China Rose designer print also adds a nice touch to the already great appliance, as a small cherry on top of an already fantastic product.
