Scotch Whisky Liqueur brand Drambuie is celebrating the revival of its most renowned cocktail, The Rusty Nail, with a five-week bar experience called ‘A Night with the Nail’. The pop up follows success in other Australian cities, highlighting one of the most iconic whisky cocktails and how the simply beautiful recipe has stood the test of time.
Infamous from its run in New York nightclubs in the early 60s, The Rusty Nail is one part Drambuie, two parts Scotch Whisky and a lemon twist over ice. A Night with the Nail will play with this heritage as the jazz-influenced cocktail will celebrate this swinging nightlife past, all focused into one of the most unique bar pop-ups Brisbane is likely to see this year.
Jazz legend Herb Armstrong will be playing music for patrons on the launch night on June 2nd. From there on, A Night with the Nail will continue it’s ‘Drambuie-themed’ evenings every Friday until June 30th with live jazz music in the Prohibition-themed The Walrus Club.
