Adelaide is getting South Australia’s very first beach club

Those in South Australia won’t need to travel to South-East Asia or Europe to soak up the vibes of a good ol’ beach club when Glenelg favourite Moseley Bar and Kitchen opens up the ambitious new Moseley Beach Club after five long years of planning. The 350-capacity venue will be spreading out across 750sqm of beach space just north of Glenelg Pier come mid-Jan, breaking out the luxurious sun lounges, double day-beds and umbrellas right next to a dedicated bar and kitchen as well as a live music program.

The Mediterranean-style beach club will draw on inspiration from established beach bars around the world as well as utilise some of the most popular signature cocktails from Moseley. Food will be taken care of by Head Chef Sam Cromwell with the menu consisting of simple summery snacks like toasted sangas and tuna poke bowls.

You’re looking at a $50 minimum spend for a single sun lounge (of which there are 48 in total) or a $100 minimum spend for a double day-bed (a total of eight available), which can be booked for a maximum of four people. Both can be booked for either afternoon sessions (from 12pm-4pm) or sunset sessions (5pm-9pm).

Towels can be purchased for $20 or borrowed for free while other areas of the bar will be free of any such minimum spends, including a spread of bean bags to chill out on. A $5 entry free will kick in each day after 5pm with the bar’s licence running until 9pm weekdays and 11pm weekends.

The Moseley Beach Club will open mid-January and remain on the beach until early April
