Adidas give “urban runners” a style upgrade with the PureBOOST Go

Adidas’ PureBOOST Go is the latest in a series of releases which makes full use of one of the best cushion systems in the sneaker game. Joining the PureBoost collection, the “Go” has zoned in and tightened focus on flexibility for street runners and the more athletic types amongst us who rightfully value the ability to handle sudden shifts in direction with ease.

That’s the brief for this recently released performance silhouette, and it’s most certainly met with some substantial and smart design nods. These are perhaps some of the more comfortable runners on the market in 2018, and they don’t look half bad either. The breathable circular textile knit upper is as stylish as the more lifestyle focused sneakers and allows for Pureboost to return to a more functional tongue, while the wider forefront platform helps with stability and easier multi-directional movements – no doubt a tough and delicate balance to achieve – and the rubbery outsole is cleverly designed in a spiderweb like pattern for superior grip, working well even on wet surfaces.

Though it’s that wider forefront platform that makes the Go what it is. Slight tweaks to the midsole make it so the edges of your foot are given more support, which in turn makes landing much easier and less strenuous for anyone who takes those kind of sharp turns or sudden changes.

The successful trademark BOOST midsole is an expected inclusion, taking the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” approach to energy return and the Pureboost line which has now been established as one of the most reliable out there. Combine this tried and tested inclusion with the lightweight (around 0.65 lbs for the Men’s – even lighter than the Ultra Boost) body and you can easily see why the Go is one of the best things Adidas have released in 2018.

You can get the PureBOOST Go in four colourways for women, and three for men. The limited release black & white colourway is the most attractive of the current release, but seeing as style is one of the biggest and most substantial selling points for this silhouette, they all look nice and slick.
