Bondi restaurant Rocker will host a 3-course offal showcase this February thanks to a transformation by The Kraken Black Spiced Rum. Titled ‘Eat Your Heart Out’, the menu has been developed by head chef Stuart Toon, as well as celebrity chef and restaurateur Darren Robertson who is co-owner of Three Blue Ducks, Rocker & Locura Byron Bay and formerly head chef of Tetsuya.
This isn’t your typical Valentines meal as guests will dine on “nose-to-tail delicacies” – everything from liver, kidney tongue and heart. “Anything in its raw form is a bit off-putting. It can;t just be a big tongue or brain on the plate,” Robertson says. “It needs to be used in an accessible way. The Kraken event will challenge people to experience and enjoy the darker side of dining.”
As well as tongue and onions, pigs head salted blood plum, whole cow stew, just to name a few, guests will also sip on four Kraken cocktails that are unique for the event.
‘Eat Your Heart Out’ is happening on Friday February 15th and each ticket holder receives a curated 3-course meal and 4 new and exclusive Kraken Black Spiced Rum cocktails. Seating is limited and tickets can be purchased HERE.
