Over the last decade, San Francisco’s Outside Lands has set itself up as one of the world’s biggest and best festivals, delivering an incredible event year after year, with stunning lineups to boot.
And it’s not just music, with San Francisco’s historic Golden Gate Park also filling up with food, wine, beer, art and comedy from across the region and the world. And Planet Entertainment, Superfly and Starr Hill have not disappointed with the lineup for the 10th anniversary, which was announced this week.
Takoing place from August 11th to the 13th, this year’s Outside Lands will be headlined by none other than Metallica, The Who and Gorillaz, withBelle and Sebastian , Splendour in the Grass bound Queens Of The Stone Age, Above & Beyond, VIVID bound Fleet Foxes, The Avett Brothers, Solange and Belle and Sebastian amongst the massive, impressive lineup.

Among the Australians represented at the festival, look out for Vance Joy and Empire of the Sun amongst the three day event. Regular priced 3-day and VIP tickets will go on sale this Thursday, April 6th at 10am PT exclusively at http://sfoutsidelands.com. And you should be quick – Outside Lands has six consecutive sellouts to date, usually within hours of going on sale.
And as mentioned earlier, the festival is much more than just the music. This year, fans will have access to more than 80 Bay Area restaurants, 40+ Northern California wineries, close to 30 west coast breweries, and a collection of the region’s best cocktail bars. Outside Lands also features ten distinct experiences that celebrate San Francisco’s culture and excite the senses, including Taste of the Bay Area, Wine Lands, Beer Lands, The Back Wine, Cocktail Magic, the Festival Market Place, Outsider Art, Eco Lands, as well as The Barbary, named in honor of San Francisco’s Barbary Coast district and featuring the best of comedy and cabaret, and GastroMagic, a fully programmed stage devoted to one-of-a-kind culinary and music collaborations.
