Not long after limited edition vegemite & cheese popcorn hit Village and Event cinemas across the country, there’s been a deluge of new twists on the timeless movie snack with Parlour Lane Popcorn Company hooking up with Event and BCC Cinemas to exclusively offer several flavours including Spicy Nacho, Salted Caramel, and Salt & Vinegar popcorn.
Taking cues from the original Parlour Lane (which is located right next to Sydney icon State Theatre), which used to serve as the go-to for fresh popcorn in the city, the new series spans six flavours in total: Spicy Nacho; Sweet & Salty; Salt & Vinegar; Salted Caramel; Chocolatey; New York Mix (a blend of cheese and caramel). Of course, this is in addition to the aforementioned vegemite & cheese flavour which will only be available for a very limited time.
As far as our taste buds at the AU offices go, the Spicy Nacho and Salted Caramel flavours should be the biggest wins for the overdue series, while Chocolatey and New York Mix might prove a bit too divisive.
